Generative AI for University Faculty is a 3-day (12+hour) virtual crash course designed to educate and train University Faculty seeking to use Generative AI in the Classroom from Semester starting Aug/Sept 2023.

The course has been designed by a number of University Leaders, pedagogy experts, policymakers, ethicists and active faculty users (of GenAI) from Pakistan and around the World.

This #GenAI4UniversityFaculty Course is also provided a support for the participants of the Pilot Study on the Instructional Use of Generative AI in Universities aimed at documenting and creating evidence on the proper use of Generative AI in the Classrooms. Additional support through the term may also be forthcoming.

For a small number of Partner Universities, we will work with 10-15 Participating Faculty Members ea. through the Term (Aug-Dec, 2023) to understand how Generative AI is being used and impacting learning in the classroom.

The course itself, however, is available to any faculty member across Pakistan to take for a small price, as per following terms:

 

Course Dates:

Course Fee:

Free for Participating Faculty (Top50-60 Faculty Members incl. Nominations by a Partner University)

PKR 10,000/- ($59 for out-of-Pakistan) per Faculty Member for All Others.

25% Discount on 10+ Faculty Members from a University (paid by the University)

An Overview of AI in Education Landscape;

GenAI as a Classroom Aid and Assessments Re-design for AI;

Plagiarism: Regulation & Policy;

Assessing Learning Impact, Ethics & Disclosures.

A Note about the Registration Form: It will take about 10-20 minutes to fill out this form. If you’re interested in becoming a ‘Participating Faculty,’ we advise you to take the time to answer the optional questions comprehensively as well as this the only way for us to evaluate if you (and your specific situation) qualify to be a Participating Faculty. We understand that not everyone may qualify and it may not appropriate for everyone to fill out this form. The registration form serves two purposes: (a) it helps us to evaluate how ready you are to teach using Generative AI in the classroom and assess the environment in which you are and the support you have access to, (b) it provides us a preliminary assessment of the overall academic landscape of instruction using Generative AI. To that end, the information you provide may become part of an landscaping exercise who results may be shared in an independent assessment. The data will, however, be used anonymously and without attribution to a particular individual or institution.
